When No is not Never

Have you been told No when you expected a Yes? Did you fail an important project? Do you feel like giving up?

These are the questions that many of us have been faced with one way or the other in our lives.

After a conversation with a friend, she told me of her failure to succeed in her dream project. She stated in defeat that she has given up..I find myself unintentionally preaching to her.

While counseling and encouraging her, I learned something. Perhaps it’s because I said it out loud.. I found myself reflecting on our conversation that night. It undoubtedly brought home something I have never thought of. I realised that is how I live and have lived it all my life. It was then that I pondered curiously.

Does No means never?

When I am faced with an undesirable outcome, I see a challenge I need to conquer. I advised my friend that when you received an undesirable answer…you have an opportunity to do it again and do it better. The wise always advise that ” life is a lesson.” It is this notion that we learn from our mistakes. The fact that you are alive, is itself a chance to do it again and succeed. Receiving an undesirable answer or a No is not the end.

God’s Time is Best

It is better not to receive things prematurely, sometimes God does not give us things we want when we want them because there’s a reason beyond ones understanding. When God says no, He does not mean Never. It might just be that, you are not ready for it or that which you seek is not perfect for you at that time etc.

I do believe…. God’s time is perfect.

Even if you are not a believer in God… No does not mean never…tell you- I must.

Destiny and Legacy

A lost destiny is a lost legacy….do not allow yourself to lose any of these. You may fail but allow not your dream to die.

If you fail..do it again

If you receive a No..work on your dream until you get a Yes.

You are not the victim of the world, but rather the master of your own destiny. It is your choices and decisions that determine your destiny.” Roy T Bennett

It may be easy to give up but it is not worth losing that which you are destined for. Remember, your legacy is a result of a fulfilled destiny.

Your legacy will speak for you even when you cannot…it lives on.

”My buildings will be my legacy..they will speak for me long after I’m gone” Julia Morgan

What legacy do you want to leave? What do you wish to achieve in your life time?

Dream it, see it, do it and if you fail…do it again. Failure is a life’s lesson which brings wisdom. Don’t give up on your dreams.

No only means Not right now.
